Who's Who

LINk Support Team (also known as the host)

The job of the host organisation is to support the LINk to do its work. The LINk decides what work it does and when. The Host contract was awarded to Community Voluntary Sector Forum (CVSF), visit their website for more details.

The host's role is to:

  • encourage local groups, organisations and individuals to get involved, especially those who are not always heard
  • hold the money for the LINk and be responsible for keeping records of how money is spent
  • regularly let local people know what the LINk is doing and asking them for their views
  • keep good records of what the LINk does and who is involved
  • provide advice and support to the LINk
  • make regular reports to the Local  Authority about how it is supporting the LINk
  • help the LINk to write a report every year about what they have done and how the money has been spent
  • work with other strategic organisations and partnerships locally
  • perform all the administrative duties on behalf of the LINk (including taking notes and minutes, organising events and meetings, correspondence).

Due to a funding cut there are now only two members of LINk staff: LINk Manager and LINk Development Officer. We also have some support from the CVSF administrator.
