By signing up to a LINk, you have more power than you would individually.
The LINk is assisting Brighton and Hove City Council to promote user involvement in housing related support.
Brighton and Hove City Council currently provides support specifically aimed at helping people to establish themselves or stay in, their own homes. Examples of housing related support include home adaptations such as installing grab rails. The Council is looking to improve the services it offers and would like to know your views on the services or what you would like from the service. It is looking to find out what people want from the current Supporting People Home Improvement Agency contract, which supports service users with a range of needs to access DFG (Disabled Facilities Grant) funded adaptations, is being put out to tender with a view to re-commissioning from April 2012.
In order to ensure we commission the right service we are re-writing the service specification. To help us do this we would like your views about: • the current adaptations process • current support providers • what you think the needs of service users are for support with the process
We are also holding a focus group for over 60s interested in finding out more about the services on offer and having a say in services - see flyer below.
There are also surveys for current users of the service and those interested in having a say on the services.
There's a chance to win supermarket vouchers and shape future services. Please print out the survey or contact the LINk office for a paper copy or email back to the LINk info@bhlink.org by the end of July 2011.
